Jam Makin' Sunday

As if my life isn't crazy enough, I thought I should take advantage of the cheap peaches at the market and make some jam. Friends got word of the deal and came over to learn some new canning skills. Everyone's came out a little different especially those who bought NECTARINES! All the jars set up nicely and now they are calling for nice warm biscuits. mmmmm!!

Thanks Liz for taking the pictures, only problem is you're not in them :(

brings back memories!! I used to make jam out of any fruit I could get ahold of for free. I had an apricot tree.... lots of jam. Strawberry, peach, orange marmalade, grape jelly..... One of the best parts (other that the amazing aroma) was the sound of the jars "pinging" as they cooled and sealed. I still have my equipment. Need more jars. Maybe we need an orange marmalade day when my oranges ripen in the winter.
