Carnival...PV Style

This past friday afternoon was crazy! Our school carnival gets bigger and bigger each year. It's no doubt that the wonderful Tri-tip sandwiches on artisian french bread smothered in garlic butter and topped with a homemade salsa calls people in from the surrounding neighborhoods like zombies. I don't know what was better the smokey smell from the huge bbqs or the sweet sugar smell from the cotton candy machine. The Home and School club worked really hard to organize all the booths and volunteers. Lots of 6th graders helped work to earn Science Camp money too. We had an old-fashioned cake walk, face painting, crafts, jump house and a silent auction. My brother brought down my grandpa's old ice shaver and made over 350 snow cones! Another parent with carnival connections had a cotton candy machine and a 50ft line of people from 4pm -8pm. She could not make it fast enough. It was a long hard day, but we sure had fun!
