Yes, Virginia there is a cat named Abbey

I know many of you don't believe that I have 3 cats. Yeah you've seen Josafeen aka Ms. Needy and Lu Lu, but a mystery cat lives up stairs in my room. Believe it or not she's a very active, affectionate, 13 year old Maine Coon cat. She just prefers me all to herself. She's disgusted by the dog and lives in denial upstairs. She is the queen and we sleep in her room on her bed. She "hunts" every night looking for pens, pencils, or anything close to that shape. She collects them and leaves them on her bedroom floor for me to step on. On a good night I can expect about 4. If the kids leave out their marker box I could end up with a dozen. As you can see, she looks a lot like the cat I just adopted for Kathleen. I have a special thing for Maine Coons and can't think of having anything else. They are different and incredibly loyal. Ask S how she treats him. She sleeps between us every night with her face near mine. You can picture which end S gets. On a quiet night you may get a peek at her, but don't get your hopes up.

I couldn't agree more about Maine Coon cats. They are GREAT! We had two. Both gone now but if I ever get another cat, I'd like it to be a Maine Coon cat. Extremely loyal animals.

You can read about them here if you'd like:

The post is about my painting of my "Pepper" but it also has a neat story about both our cats. "Sissy" weighed half of what Pepper did. She had to outsmart him to stay alive when he wanted to roughhouse. She did! LOL Yours reminds me a little of her.
