The Office Visit

Today M had an appt./consultation with the oral surgeon for her receeding gum on a front tooth. I was a bit nervous about this appt. because I knew it was going to expensive, but I had no clue that that would be the least of my problems today. I had tweedle-dee and tweedle-dum with me as well and gave them the usual "pep" talk about doctor office behavior. E brought her purse and I thought that whatever she had inside would most likely keep her occupied, later I would regret that thought. We were seen right away and were crammed into an itty bitty office with a dental chair, surgeon and nurse. Things were going along smoothly. The dentist was nice and asked about everyone's school. As he examined M more I noticed that the nurse was grinning and looking behind me at E and S. I turned my head around to see and S had his mouth completely covered in masking tape and before I could say, "What in the wo..." E had ripped that tape so fast off his face that he screamed like the monkeys we saw at the San Diego Zoo. I closed my eyes to compose myself and with my nice mommy voice I asked E, "Where did you get the tape from?" and she said, "I got it from home so I can work on my project." I didn't have the energy to find out anymore. I quickly signed all the paperwork to get the heck out of there, but I'll be sure to have her help me if I decide to wax my eyebrows.

Oh my! Never a dull moment with the M.E.S.S Family. : )

Wow, M already has to have surgery for receeding gums?! That's really young. I have them too....family thing, but only had one procedure so far and that was just with Uncle J. No specialist....yet. Wishing you all the best.

Hope to be able to talk and see you soon.
